My Colourful Week - Part 01

Last Tuesday (23rd October) I was invited by my good friend Corinne to a book launch at the Gleebooks. Word, music and arts are the same thing, expressing our feelings in an outward way.

I was able to find the last monthly edition from Art Almanac and to seek the different gallery I wanted to see or revisit.

I couldn't help myself but to be drawn to the new exhibition "HALO" from Marisa Purcell at Tim Olsen Gallery in Woollahra.

“These recent works come from paintings I made in Italy where the light and colour was so warm and luxurious I wanted to bathe in it. Upon my return to the studio I think I have taken the ‘feel’ of this light and translated it into work that is spacious and weightless”, she says.

I don't think the pictures are able to reflect the beauty of the artwork, the colours and dedication in her work.. so take the time to visit the gallery and embrace yourself in colours.
