Madoka Vibe 2012

I have decided that whenever I will create a new artwork, I will take some pictures of the work in progress.

The iphone is probably not the best in terms of colours but this is a way to show you how to start your own creation and to set your mind free of any restriction.

We have some much inspiration around us and for me the sky is MY inspiration. There is the colours, the design created by the clouds, the greys and so much more.

For this artwork, I have used acrylic and oils.

Canvas is 24x24' and will be using acrylic first
to create the background

Applying acrylic straight from the tube..

Adding earthy colours to create contrast

Adding some zinc white

Using a large paint brush to blend everything.
There is no water added..

Blending the colours, starting with
the lighter tones first

Blending the darker tones

Adding black to create more contrast

Blending, creating flows

Giving some direction

Taking a step back

When the acrylic is dry - faster than oils,
I started to add more structure by adding oils

Adding depth using oils and gold

Adding Zinc White oil

Detail of the artwork

Drying on the wall at home.. waiting for a new owner

This is Madoka Vibe 2012, the canvas is 24x24" and still drying.
The next step will be adding some varnish when the canvas will be completely dry.

Have a great week.
